There are two kinds of travelers who come to India. The first kind comes for the monuments, the history, the grand forts and royal palaces that have been standing for centuries. The second kind comes looking for something quieter, a connection to the spiritual side of India, the yoga, the meditation, the sacred rivers and the mountain air. This tour is built for both.
The Golden Triangle Tour with Yoga and Meditation combines the most iconic heritage circuit in North India with a genuine wellness experience in Rishikesh, the yoga capital of the world. You spend the first half of the trip in Delhi, Agra and Jaipur exploring Mughal masterpieces, Rajput forts and ancient bazaars. Then the journey takes a very different turn as you head north to Rishikesh, where the Ganga emerges from the Himalayas and the pace of life slows down completely. Morning yoga by the river, guided meditation sessions, evening Ganga Aarti on the ghats and the clean mountain air make the last part of this trip feel like a complete reset.
By the time you return to Delhi on Day 8, you will have experienced India in two completely different ways. One loud, colorful and full of history. The other quiet, grounding, and deeply restorative. Together, they give you a picture of this country that very few tours manage to offer.

Tour Plan
01Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Your journey starts the moment you land at Delhi airport. Our representative will be there with your name on a placard and will transfer you comfortably to your hotel. The rest of the day is free. Take your time settling in.
If you arrive before evening, Akshardham Temple is worth visiting. Built from pink sandstone and white marble, it is one of the most elaborately crafted temple complexes in the world. The exterior alone, with its 234 carved pillars and more than 20,000 statues, takes a good hour to appreciate fully. In the evening the complex is beautifully illuminated. Note that cameras are not permitted inside.
Overnight in Delhi.
02Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing
After breakfast, a full day of Delhi exploration begins across Old and New Delhi. Start in Old Delhi at Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, built in 1656 by Shah Jahan. The main courtyard is vast and the minarets give a sweeping view over the old city below. From here, board a private pedal rickshaw and ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk. This is one of the oldest and most lively markets in Asia. Spice shops, sweet sellers, fabric stores and street food stalls line every lane and the energy here is something you cannot fake or recreate anywhere else.
Next, visit Red Fort, the red sandstone citadel that served as the heart of Mughal power for over 200 years. Your guide will walk you through the audience halls, royal chambers and grand gateways. Then head to Raj Ghat, the quiet memorial built in honor of Mahatma Gandhi, and continue to Humayun’s Tomb, the first great Mughal garden tomb in India and the monument that directly inspired the Taj Mahal nearly a century later.
In the afternoon, explore New Delhi. Drive along the ceremonial boulevard past Parliament House and Rashtrapati Bhawan. Visit India Gate, the war memorial at the center of the capital. Explore Qutub Minar, the 72-meter 12th-century tower packed with extraordinary medieval stone carvings. End the day at the Lotus Temple, a serene Bahai House of Worship shaped like a blooming flower surrounded by peaceful gardens.
Overnight in Delhi.
03Day 3: Delhi to Agra
After breakfast, your driver takes you to Agra via the Yamuna Expressway. The drive is smooth and takes about 3 to 4 hours. Agra holds three UNESCO World Heritage Sites and is one of the most historically important cities in the world.
On arrival, check into the hotel and head out for the afternoon.
First stop is Agra Fort, the great UNESCO-listed fortress on the banks of the Yamuna. Built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 and expanded by Jahangir and Shah Jahan, this complex tells the story of three Mughal emperors across its palaces, mosques and audience halls. Inside, visit Jahangir’s Palace, the Khaas Mahal, the Diwan-i-Aam and the Diwan-i-Khas. The most moving spot is the Musamman Burj, the tower where Shah Jahan was held under house arrest by his own son Aurangzeb from 1658 until his death in 1666. From this tower, using a small mirror, Shah Jahan could see only a distant reflection of the Taj Mahal, the monument he built for the wife he loved.
Next, visit the Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, the Baby Taj. Built between 1622 and 1628 by Empress Nur Jahan for her father, this is the first Mughal structure built entirely in white marble and the first to use the pietra dura stone inlay technique. The detail work on the walls, using cornelian, jasper, onyx and topaz, is breathtaking up close and is widely considered the design forerunner of the Taj Mahal.
In the late afternoon, stop at Mehtab Bagh, the garden on the opposite bank of the Yamuna, for an unobstructed sunset view of the Taj Mahal framed against the evening sky.
Overnight in Agra.
04Day 4: Taj Mahal at Sunrise and Drive to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri
Wake up before dawn. This morning holds the most memorable moment of the entire tour.
Drive to the Taj Mahal and enter as the gates open at sunrise. The white Makrana marble in early morning light is something no photograph can fully prepare you for. The monument shifts from pale silver to soft pink to warm gold as the sun rises. The garden is quiet. The reflection pools are still. Your guide walks you through the full complex including the interior of the mausoleum where the cenotaphs of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal rest behind extraordinarily carved marble screens inlaid with precious stones.
Take your time here. There is no rush this morning.
After the visit, return to the hotel for breakfast and check out. Drive toward Jaipur with a stop at Fatehpur Sikri, Emperor Akbar’s abandoned capital city in red sandstone. Akbar built this entire city in the 1570s and then left it 14 years later. The city is remarkably preserved. Visit Buland Darwaza, one of the tallest gateways in the world, along with Jodha Bai Palace, Diwan-i-Khas, Diwan-i-Aam and the white marble Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chisti, still a living pilgrimage site today.
Continue to Jaipur and check into the hotel. Spend the evening exploring the local bazaars.
Overnight in Jaipur.
05Day 5: Jaipur Sightseeing
Jaipur, the Pink City, is the capital of Rajasthan and one of the most visually distinctive cities in South Asia. Founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the old walled city is painted terracotta pink and gives the entire place a warmth and character that is completely its own.
Begin at Amber Fort, the hilltop fortress of the Kachwaha Rajput dynasty above Maota Lake. The view of the fort reflected in the water below is one of the finest sights in Rajasthan. Inside, the Sheesh Mahal or Mirror Palace is covered from floor to ceiling in thousands of tiny mirror fragments that reflect any light source like a night sky full of stars. Walk through Ganesh Pol and explore the royal chambers. An optional elephant ride up the slope to the main gate is available.
Visit Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds, the five-story facade with 953 small latticed windows that allowed royal women to observe street life while remaining completely unseen from below.
Explore City Palace, the royal complex in the heart of the old city housing the Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal and a museum of royal costumes, weapons and historical artifacts. Walk to the adjacent Jantar Mantar, the open-air astronomical observatory where enormous stone instruments still measure time and track celestial movements with remarkable accuracy.
Spend the afternoon shopping in Jaipur’s bazaars for gemstone jewelry, block-printed fabric, blue pottery and handcrafted Rajasthani goods.
Overnight in Jaipur.
06Day 6: Jaipur to Rishikesh
After breakfast and checkout, begin the drive from Jaipur to Rishikesh. The journey covers about 400 kilometers and takes 7 to 8 hours via Delhi and the Himalayan foothills.
As you travel north from Delhi, the landscape slowly changes. The flat plains give way to gentle hills and then the Himalayan foothills appear on the horizon. The air becomes noticeably cooler and cleaner. By the time you reach Rishikesh, you can feel that you have arrived somewhere genuinely different.
Rishikesh sits where the Ganga flows out of the Himalayas and begins its journey across the plains. The river here is cold, clear and fast-moving. The town on both banks is filled with ashrams, temples and yoga centers. The mountains surround it on three sides.
Check into your hotel or ashram. In the evening, walk to the ghats for the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan. As the sun sets behind the mountains, priests in saffron perform the evening fire ceremony to the river with oil lamps, flowers and devotional music while hundreds gather on the ghats. It is one of the most spiritually powerful things you can witness in India.
Walk across Ram Jhula or Laxman Jhula and explore the temples and ashrams that line both banks of the river.
Overnight in Rishikesh.
07Day 7: Yoga, Meditation and Rishikesh
This day belongs to stillness, breath and the River Ganga.
Begin at 5:30 AM or 6:00 AM with a guided morning meditation session by the river. Sitting beside the Ganga in early morning with the mountains still in shadow and the sound of water all around you is a setting for meditation that is genuinely rare and hard to find anywhere else in the world.
After meditation, your yoga session begins with an experienced instructor. Sessions are tailored to your level and can include pranayama breathing exercises, asana practice and deeper meditation techniques. Whether you are a complete beginner or someone with regular practice, the sessions are designed to meet you where you are.
After breakfast, the day is yours. Explore Rishikesh at your own pace. Visit Parmarth Niketan, Sivananda Ashram or Omkarananda Ashram to experience different approaches to yoga and meditation practice. Spend time sitting by the river. Browse the local markets for Rudraksha beads, Ayurvedic oils, natural skincare products and handmade items.
If you enjoy the outdoors, short treks to viewpoints and waterfalls in the surrounding hills can be arranged. Rishikesh is also known for river rafting on the Ganga for those who want a more active experience.
In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti again. Seeing it a second time is a completely different experience. The first time you watch carefully and try to understand what is happening. The second time you simply sit and let it settle.
Overnight in Rishikesh.
08Day 8: Rishikesh to Delhi and Departure
Wake up for one final morning by the river. A last quiet sit by the Ganga, a final cup of chai watching the water, or a brief morning walk through the ghats. Take whatever time you need with this last morning in Rishikesh. After breakfast and hotel checkout, your driver takes you back to Delhi for your departure flight. The drive takes approximately 5 to 6 hours. You arrive at Delhi airport with comfortable time to spare.
Eight days ago you arrived in Delhi for the first time. You have since stood in front of the Taj Mahal in the silence of sunrise, walked through royal forts and Mughal palaces, browsed the bazaars of Rajasthan and sat in meditation on the banks of one of the most sacred rivers in the world. You leave carrying something from all of it.
Tour Ends. Departure from Delhi.
